Apop Records will be screening the premiere of A Time in Tempora, which is a psychosis driven documentary about the uncategorizable band Skarekrau Radio. The director, Chizzy Chizmo, spent five years observing the band and filming them in their hometown of Tempora, IL as well as on the road in multiple cities. The film depicts Skarekrau Radio loosing their singer Kricket Green and what it will take for her to return. During the five year process Chizzy also searches for meaning and purpose in KUU (the deity Skarekrau Radio members worship) and the followers of this lesser known god.

Along with the premiere, 100 limited edition DVD’s will be available for $10. These DVD’s will contain three disc including the feature length film, over 2 hours of live footage, and a CD including never released Skarekrau Radio material. Artwork for the DVD has been designed and screenprinted by Mister Ben.

Before the film screens, a live puppet show will take place explaining the origins of KUU. Berlin Mud, who helped with the soundtrack, will also perform.

so last saturday the collab with cackling hen was a success, the spelling bee release show was bomb, great turnout, made new friends, found the experience of playing in complete darkness both bewildering and cathartic.. learned a lot about glow in the dark cream and men's underpants. hope to work with those guys more.

bill nace will be playing this saturday at floatinglabs with diagram a, sandra covin, matt muslin, sirrah nivek.

this sunday oct 10 in nashville i'll be playing "risky flutes" with bill nace, diagram a, aether jag, and god willing at betty's!!!

"check it out, I had a break through moment with 'crop circles'. I've been interested in them for many years but last night something clicked and I realized what incredible, amazing, mind blowing genius is expressed these artistic creations. It's undeniable that these formations are brilliant works of art that blow away anything done by any of the known land art purveyors and yet all these works are unclaimed.

The average person doesn't give it a second thought , they behave as if it's not safe for them to even appreciate crop circles for what they are or to acknowledge them as art. If you go to a book store you will not find crop circles in the same section as Andrew Goldswerthy or other land art, crop circles will be in the 'new age spirituality' section. They should be with art and or mathematics/geometry.

It's weird the way the mass culture has programmed people. It would be fun to set up an exhibit explaining the beauty and science of cc at an outdoor flea market or county fair or giant mall and do it just to watch the public reaction. Whenever I bring up cc, people laugh or roll their eyes and say something like 'oh, you believe aliens made them'. It's bizarre, it's like there is a blindfold and they cant even appreciate the lengths to which these supposed hoaxers have gone."
